12–08

With that major swell set to hit, I scheduled a day away…

The open coast would be overwhelmed with size, wind and current…

The swell was kind of too low of an angle to be a sure thing in the Land of Fickle, but that was where I decided to go…

(above) Along the road the snow from last week still lingers…

Swell: West 16’ @ 17 sec.

Wind: SE @ 10-15 Kt.

Air Temp: Look at the pictures…

Water Temp: Not bad…

Crowd: Where…???...

(above) This first look place was bumpy and not really even rideable…

(above) to the east was a bit better, but not much…

(above) So I headed further down the road…

(above) I suited up fast and grabbed the 5’6” and my swim fins…

(above) Time for a Belly Sesh..!!!...

(above) Yeah, I had it like this to myself…

(above) After 3 hours, I went in and grabbed the 11’6” and had another two hours on that…

A fun day for sure…

A bit lonely, but I’ll survive…

(above) You can see here how the Benz is for carrying surf junk…

(above) The 11’6” is about 6” too long to fit perfect…

I’m having roof racks welded from some leftover Hobie Cat tramp bars…

What ya think…???...
